APM Terminals is a 100% shareholder in Terminal de Containers do Vale do Itajai S/A in Itajai, Southern Brazil. The terminal is better known as "Teconvi". The total available berth length is currently 740 meters. Containers are handles by three mobile harbor cranes. Teconvi plans with substantial expansion to cater for the continued high growth of the market in Santa Caterina. The plans include construction of a new berth suitable for gantry cranes, reinforcement of the existing quay and expansion of the yard area. The developments annual handling capacity in excess of 1 million TEU.
