TECONVI is responsible for 100% of container operation in Itajai, placing the company on the second position among Brazilian Terminals. Since its beginning, TECONVI increased its volume more than 100%. Last year, the terminal moved approximately 360.000 units and it is budget more than 400,000 units for 2006.

TECONVI has 18 reach-stackers and three MHC cranes on a yard area of 47.000 sqm (+ 21.000 sqm to be added). On the next two years, Teconvi is going to build a new berth (250m), to reinforce existing one, to acquire 2 ship-to-shore crane postpanamax, new Operating System, to increase yard area (yard civil works), to install more than 400 reefer plugs, to invest on staff (250 heads) training, …

The new head-quarter’s building which will be ready by May 2006is going to have 4,500 sqm to accommodate all Teconvi staff and Port Authority.
