TWIC Enforcement Began February 28, 2009

Effective 28 February 2009, you must have a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) for unescorted access to secure areas of the Port.  If you access a secure area of a port or vessel as part of your job, chances are you will need a TWIC, a biometric card that ensures only vetted workers can enter without an escort.  APM Terminals’ container yard is restricted and requires a TWIC for access.
