Pedersen has responsibility for all revenue producing activities across the APM Terminals global portfolio. He is also responsible for APM Terminal’s global network of inland logistics facilities.
Furthermore, Pedersen has responsibility for all gateway terminals located in Europe, USA, Latin America, as well as in Nigeria and India.
Pedersen first joined Maersk in 1998. He has held various roles across Maersk Line and Damco, prior to joining APM Terminals in 2008 as Vice President of Business Development Latin America, based in Panama.
During his four-year tenure in Latin America, the company secured new and very sizable investment projects in Callao, Peru; Santos, Brazil; Moin, Costa Rica; and Lázaro Cárdenas, Mexico.
Pedersen was appointed Regional CEO of APM Terminals Asia Pacific in January 2012, where he was based in Singapore, overseeing APM Terminals’ port facilities and Inland Services operations in India, Vietnam, Thailand, China and Japan.
From 2015 until his appointment as CCO, Pedersen served as APM Terminals’ Chief Financial Officer, based at the company’s global headquarters in The Hague, Netherlands.
Pedersen, a Danish national, completed a finance degree at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark, and subsequent management courses from Harvard Business School, IMD and Columbia Business School.
