Progress of the stabilization phase at the Port of Balboa
APM Terminals Panama reports that the stabilization phase of operations at the Port of Balboa (Pacific side) in Panama is progressing according to the established work plan. This process is key to ensuring the port’s operability with the least possible impact.
Key progress to date:

Container reception:
As of Tuesday, February 24, the receiving of export and empty containers through the gate resumed.
The gate is open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Import containers are not yet being delivered at this time. -
Protection of perishable cargo:
All refrigerated containers with perishable goods remain plugged in, powered and under constant monitoring. -
Staff training:
Staff are progressing successfully in the training process for the new operating system, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition in data and cargo management. -
Customer communication:
Communication with our customers is a priority. For this reason, the CSBalboa@APMTerminalsPanama.com inquiries channel is active to provide ongoing support throughout this process. -
Inventory and audit:
Under the supervision of the Panama Maritime Authority, we continue with the inventory and audit of all assets. This diagnostic process allows us to ensure that each piece of equipment meets the necessary standards for stable operations.
