Gate Procedures

Gating in a full

  1. Full container arrives at gate and truck driver presents CY Container Stuffing Report to container inspector.
  2. Container inspector inspects container’s condition and check seal number. Then container inspector reports container data to gate clerk by Truck Gate System. Truck scale measures container weight and updates ACTIS automatically.
  3. Gate clerk updates ACTIS according to CY Container Stuffing Report and subject container is assigned the auto-selected yard position from ACTIS. Truck Gate System prints out placard and informs truck driver to proceed to subject containers stacking area.
  4. RTG driver picks up subject container according to placard’s information at designated position.
  5. Empty truck gate out from terminal.

Gating in an empty

  1. Empty container arrives at gate. Container inspector inspects container’s condition and input data to Terminal Gate System (Truck Gate System). If it is a ‘damaged’ or ‘awaiting cleaning’ container then its containers will be marked by chalk.
  2. Gate clerk updates Terminal Core System (ACTIS) and Truck Gate System to truck driver to proceed to empty containers stacking area.
  3. Empty handler driver discharges container in sound or damage area in accordance with container’s condition (marked by chalk or not).
  4. Empty truck gates out from terminal.

Gating out a full

  1. Empty truck arrives at gate and truck driver puts Equipment Dispatch Order into Truck Gate System.
  2. Gate clerk updates ACTIS according to Equipment Dispatch Order.
  3. ACTIS checks pick up container data (demurrage free-time, custom clearance, plant quarantine inspection etc) If it is positive, Truck Gate System print out placard and informs truck driver to proceed to subject containers stacking area. If it is negative, gate clerk requests truck driver to pay demurrage charge, to present custom clearance etc.
  4. Truck proceeds to stacking area for picking up container.
  5. RTG driver picks up subject container according to placard’s information.
  6. Truck proceeds to out-gate for container inspection / ACTIS update.
  7. Truck Gate System prints out Gate Out EIR.
  8. Truck driver picks up Gate Out EIR and go to consignee.

Gating out an empy

  1. The trucker fax Pick-Up Order request to Inventory Team by 15:00 one day before desired pick up date. Then Inventory Team checks in the system whether the required container is available or not, and also check relevant booking is already made.
  2. When the trucker goes through the gate, the driver submit Pick-Up Order , which certifies the trucker is granted to pick up empty. Pick Up Order is scanned and directly uploaded into the system gate clerk uses.
  3. Gate Clerk gives the driver Pick-Up Instruction which specifies empty container’s location.
  4. The trucker proceeds to the location and receives the container.
  5. The trucker backs to the gate and gate checker checks exterior condition of the container.
  6. The trucker receives EIR, then gate out.
