Go Green 2021
Monday October 25th to Saturday 30th October 2021 marked APM Terminals’ annual Go Green Initiative, a global environmental sustainability drive. This year, Apapa is focused on reducing its plastic footprint. By replacing the use of single-use plastic bottled water with re-fill bottles and water dispensers, APM Terminals Apapa eliminated an annual waste of 408,800 single-use plastic bottles!
Commenting on the initiative, APM Terminals Nigeria Country Manager, Klaus Laursen says, “At APM Terminals, we take our responsibility towards the environment, very seriously.”
Donation to the Nigerian Immigration Service
In March 2021, APM Terminals Apapa made a donation of three 20 feet containers to the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS). The NIS Festac Office had requested for the containers in order to store their official documents, once they had been archived electronically. The Deputy Controller of Immigration Mrs. A. Adesekan, represented by Chief Superintendent of Immigration (CIS) Rex-Elem Ijeoma, also presented the terminal with a plaque on behalf of NIS Festac office.
