APM Terminals Apapa sets new record for cargo moves

APM Terminals Apapa, Nigeria has set a new record for the most cargo moves in a single month. This new all-time record of over 41,000 moves, is around 2% higher than the previously record set in 2014.

This record container activity is an important achievement for APM Terminals Apapa and is evidence that the maritime transport sector is rebounding and supporting Nigeria’s economic growth. The increase in containers at Apapa Port demonstrates the benefits of privatization and stakeholder partnerships in providing citizens with value.

“This accomplishment demonstrates APM Terminals Apapa’s strong volume stability and ability to successfully manage these increasing volumes. This success is also due in part to the introduction of a berthing schedule and elimination of waiting time for vessels,” says Temilade Ogunniyi, Commercial Manager at APM Terminals Apapa.

“We applaud the excellent efforts of our people, the wonderful APM Terminals team, and our partners who trusted APM Terminals Apapa to accomplish this volume milestone,” he concludes.
