THC and other landside charges increases Effective From 1st Jan 2024

Dear Esteemed Customer,

Following engagements with the Ports regulators, APM Terminals has received approval for the THC in accordance with its concession agreement with the government of Nigeria.

Tariffs for terminal operating services are governed by defined procedures as set by the regulator. This is to support the terminals to promote service efficiency and to recover the full costs of the business activities, including a reasonable return on the capital invested in the business, (b) provide incentives for the continued improvement of the technical and economic efficiency with which the services are provided; (c) provide stakeholders with economically efficient signals regarding the costs that their activities impose on the port business.

The authority provides a tariff path for the industry, with periodic reviews to consider the impact of changes in a limited number of parameters.

This tariff adjustment will take effect from 1st January 2024 and will apply to only newly discharged containers from 1st January 2024. However, APM Terminals will offer customers till 31st January 2024 to take delivery of containers discharged before 1st January 2024 at the old rate, after which the new rates will apply.

This was a tough decision to make, and we understand how it affects our customers.

We thank you for your continued support and trust that these adjustments will help us continue providing you with high-quality and efficient service.

We value your cooperation and look forward to even more beneficial growth and business collaborations in the future.
