General Cargo handled in the port (Cummins power pack discharged in the port)
In a remarkable display of expertise and teamwork, APM Terminals Bahrain's highly skilled team recently completed the loading of eight large tanks for one of the Kingdom's leading exporting companies. This achievement was a testament to the team's proficiency in handling complex logistics and large-scale cargo operations.
The 21-meter-long tanks – the longest and heaviest cargo ever handled at APM Terminals Bahrain – were deftly manoeuvred by our STS crane onto General Cargo vessel, the Manta Melek. This process required meticulous planning, precision execution, and a deep understanding of safety protocols to ensure smooth operations.
"We take immense pride in the collaborative efforts of all the teams involved in this significant project," stated Micheal Claudius, Senior Operations Manager at APM Terminals Bahrain. "The teams dedication and expertise were instrumental in ensuring that the cargo was handled safely and efficiently, with zero incidents or harm to either the equipment or personnel."
Lifting the standard – and the ‘not so standard’ – is all in a day’s work for APM Terminals Bahrain's skilled General Cargo team.
