Empowering Bahraini Talent: APM Terminals Bahrain Marks Milestone in Maritime Scholarship Programme
APM Terminals Bahrain B.S.C., the operator of Khalifa Bin Salman Port, has been honored as one of the Top 50 Companies in Bahrain by Al Bilad, a prestigious recognition that celebrates excellence in corporate performance, innovation, and contribution to national development.
The prestigious award was presented in a ceremony held under the patronage of H.E. Mr. Abdulla bin Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, during a distinguished ceremony held on July 9th, 2025. Being named among the Kingdom’s top 50 companies reaffirms APM Terminals Bahrain’s position as a key enabler of Bahrain’s maritime and logistics sector, and a leader in sustainable port operations. The award highlights the company’s continued commitment to operational excellence, environmental stewardship, and community engagement.

أعلنت شركة إيه بي إم تيرمينالز البحرين، المشغّل الرسمي لميناء خليفة بن سلمان، عن نجاح برنامجها الأول للمنح الدراسية البحرية، الذي يهدف إلى تأهيل الكفاءات البحرينية الشابة لتولي أدوار قيادية .مستقبلية في قطاع النقل البحري
وتأتي هذه المبادرة في إطار التزام الشركة بدعم سياسة البحرنة وتنمية القدرات الوطنية في المجالات البحرية المتخصصة مثل
.الإرشاد البحري وقيادة القاطرات وإدارة حركة السفن
وقد تم اختيار ثلاثة طلاب بحرينيين متميزين، وهم عمر أيمن ومشاعل خليفة وأسامة أمين، لدراسة العلوم البحرية تخصص ضابط نوبة ملاحة في كلية ساوث تاين سايد في المملكة المتحدة، وذلك بالتعاون مع شؤون الموانئ والملاحة البحرية بوزارة المواصلات والاتصالات، وجامعة بوليتكنك .البحرين
وشمل برنامج الاختيار معايير دقيقة من الجوانب الأكاديمية والصحية والسلوكية، بما يضمن اختيار مرشحين يتمتعون بالكفاءة الفنية .والشغف الحقيقي بالعمل البحري
ويمتد البرنامج على مدى ثلاث سنوات، يجمع بين الدراسة الأكاديمية في المملكة المتحدة والتدريب العملي على متن سفن ميرسك. وقد أنهى الطلبة بنجاح دبلوم المستوى الثالث في العمليات البحرية، فيما حصل أسامة أمين على شهادة الكفاءة ويستعد كل من عمر أيمن ومشاعل خليفة لخوض اختباراتهم .النهائية للشهادة ذاتها
وتجسد هذه المبادرة حرص شركة إيه بي إم تيرمينالز البحرين على دعم التنمية الوطنية من خلال التعليم وبناء القدرات، بما يتماشى مع أهداف رؤية البحرين 2030 الهادفة إلى تمكين الشباب البحريني .وتعزيز مساهمة القطاع البحري في الاقتصاد الوطني
