APM Terminals Panama advances into the operational scalability phase at the Port of Balboa

28 February

APM Terminals Panama reports that operations at the Port of Balboa (Pacific) are moving into the operational scalability phase, keeping Panama’s logistics hub active for the benefit of regional and global trade.

The company has completed 100% of staff training on the new operating system, as well as the employer substitution process for all employees. On the operational side, more than 3,900 moves have been carried out across five container vessels, and more than 900 truck moves have been completed at the gate: including export, import and empty container receptions. Rail dispatch of containers continues, along with the handling of general cargo vessels and the delivery of vehicles for the local market.

Under the supervision of the Panama Maritime Authority, the terminal’s asset inventory has been completed, and in coordination with the Minister of Labor and Workforce Development, Jacqueline Muñoz, the employer substitution process at the port has been fully addressed.
