Aqaba Logistics village responds to customer needs with clean energy and E-services

The Aqaba Logistics Village (ALV) in Jordan has completed the installation of a Photovoltaic Solar System and will run completely on Green energy. ALV is also gradually replacing its Diesel-powered Forklifts with Electric versions. At the same time, the company has launched a customer portal, which offers container tracking, invoicing and online payments.

ALV’s green initiatives highlight the feasibility of pursuing cleaner operations while at the same time improving the company’s financial performance. These initiatives are also consistent with the values of its shareholders APM Terminals and Kawar Group, guaranteeing a safe environment at ALV for its employees, customers, contractors and visitors. Recognising and addressing the environmental challenges of today is critical for the success of companies of tomorrow.

E-tracking and E-payment

Handling all consolidated shipments to and from Jordan, ALV proved once again that it can deliver on its commitment to bring first-class systems and processes to Jordan. The launch of its new customer portal Track.alv.jo and electronic payments platform E-Fawateercom allow its customers to enjoy full transparency and unmatched convenience to track and trace their shipments from anywhere and at any time of the day or the night.

Among other smart services available on its customer portal, ALV offers to registered and non-registered customers:

  • Track the status of any shipment from its Bill of Lading number
  • Prepare invoices for E-Payment
  • Vessel Index by Container Agents (Shipping lines).

These new services are only the beginning of ALV’s exciting journey into the new era of digitalization for the greater benefit of Jordan’s business and industries and in full support of Aqaba’s ambition to become the modern multi-modal integrated logistics cluster of the future.

The Aqaba Logistics Villageis one of Aqaba Development Corporation flagship Logistics projects and one of the most successful (PPP) Public Private Partnerships in Aqaba with APM Terminals and Kawar Group.
