Inauguration of the new Customs and Veterinary facility at APM Terminals Kalundborg

A brand-new combined facility for Customs and Veterinary Control will be built at Port of Kalundborg. A groundbreaking ceremony was held 6th of March at New West Port, very close to APM Terminals Kalundborg. Mikael Gutman, Managing Director of APM Terminals Nordics was there to break the first sod.

Two years ago, our partner terminal in Kalundborg became operational. Since then, the terminal has extended its service offering and gained importance as an attractive alternative to the Port of Copenhagen. Now the next step is taken, by building a 1,000 m2 combined facility for the Danish Customs Agency and for the Veterinary and Food Control close to APM Terminals Kalundborg.

“I am very happy that this building is coming to fruition. We offer a wide range of services, whereof reefer service is one of them. Having veterinary control onsite the terminal, is a necessity for our customers to be able to increase the flow of food products through APM Terminals Kalundborg”, says Mikael Gutman, Managing Director of APM Terminals Nordics.

The new building is planned to be ready by the summer.
