Missed Appointment Fees Start April 1st

Dear Pier 400 Customers and Trucking Community,

As a follow up to our previous advisories, this is a courtesy reminder that April 1st we will begin billing for missed appointments.  Regarding “Late Cancellation of Appointments”, we will continue to postpone these fees until further notice.

To be clear on what will be billed, please see the two scenarios that will result in a “missed appointment” charge of $65 per the APM Terminals Los Angeles Tariff:

  1. No Show:  Customer has an appointment and does not show up / does not cancel
  2. Missed Appointment:  Customer has an appointment but arrives anytime one hour before or one hour after the appointment window. NOTE: This is an increase to our “grace period” of a half hour on each side of the appointment window.  We have made this change in response to feedback from trucking community; this will allow additional time for drivers to arrive on time for their scheduled appointment window.
