New driving direction
Several changes will be implemented at the terminal in the coming period. These adjustments are necessary to further expand the terminal and to keep our service safe, fast, and reliable.
The new traffic direction has been officially in use since 1 June. You will no longer drive clockwise, but counterclockwise on the landside of the terminal. We are aware that the recent changes and the new traffic direction have led to questions and feedback from truck drivers. We take these signals seriously and use them to further improve traffic direction and safety on the terminal. Additional signage has already been installed to make the situation clearer when exiting the terminal.
In the coming period, further works will be carried out on the landside of our terminal. As a result, some of the feedback received is of a temporary nature. For example, it is currently unavoidable that the exit lane of the current Waiting Area has been significantly shortened. This situation will be addressed in the next phase of the works, expected around mid-July (see image below).
In this next phase, the LZV lane will also be relocated to its final position. This will increase the maneuvering space between the stacks and the roadway again, ensuring compliance with the applicable minimum safety requirements. This will also provide LZV vehicles with more space to safely park within the stacks.
A new Waiting Area will be completed by the end of June. Once this has been put into operation, the current Waiting Area will be decommissioned. We will shortly inform you via a terminal alert about the exact planning and the further works.

We kindly ask you to remain extra vigilant on our terminal in the coming period. Please adjust your driving behaviour to the changing traffic situations and always follow the instructions of our staff and/or traffic controllers. Together, we ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
