Recent progress in the APMT MVII terminal expansion project

In recent periods, significant progress has again been made within the APMT MVII expansion project. The terminal expansion continues to develop visibly and is steadily progressing.

Over the past period, the steel structure of BES-3 has been completed and the AGV foundation has been successfully poured. The second 500-meter AGV pavement along the waterside is in its final stage of completion.

In addition, the connection between the existing AGV area and the expansion area has been established, a crucial step toward a fully integrated terminal operation.

Along the deep-sea quay, the crane rail has been fully completed and the first 270 meters of final pavement have been laid. At the same time, fences and gates for the Fence Control System are being installed.

Work is also progressing strongly in the stacks. Following the earlier pouring of the 1,000th plinth, the contractor has accelerated the construction of the pavement for stack 39. This supports both the installation of the RGC and the further development of the landside area.

Preparations for the transition of the landside area are in full swing. As of 1 July, the current rail-AGV area will be added to the expansion area, allowing it to be converted to the new configuration. From that moment onward, the rail terminal will be handled via the back reach. A heap area will be prepared in the rail zone in time for this purpose.

Equipment deployment also continues at a high pace. Another four Kuenz ARMGs have been delivered, bringing the total to 30 delivered stack cranes. To date, 24 ARMGs have been successfully assembled and are now visible on the terminal.

The new ZPMC quay cranes have been connected to the terminal’s fiber-optic network and are currently undergoing extensive testing.
