Barge update

In the past period there was a focus on the barge handling. By implementing different improvements, we ensure our handling becomes even safer and more reliable.  

Less chance on damages

Our barge cranes can move from left to right along the quay on a rails to load or discharge the next line of containers. This movement performed by the Crane Operator is also called Gantry driving. Recently there has been an adjustment on the behavior with gantry driving of the two Kalmar barge cranes (QC24 and QC25). The improvement will allow a more controllable movement of the crane, which decrease the chance on damages.
