APM Terminals Maasvlakte II implements executive carrier check from 8 May 2025

Since May 8, 2025, at APM Terminals Maasvlakte II we have been performing an automatic check at the gate on the executive carrier. Via this check, we check whether the EAN number on the visiting driver's CargoCard matches the EAN number of the executing carrier (executing charter) in the pre-notification made via Portbase. In this way, we are always sure that only the correct carrier is given access to our terminal. This way, both for ourselves and for you as a carrier, we prevent abuses when containers are picked up. EAN numbers are issued by Secure Logistics.

For the control of the executive carrier, we ask you to always correctly and completely pre-register all your drivers as of May 8, 2025. We kindly request you to update your already booked appointment via Portbase.

For APM Terminals Maasvlakte II, the control of the executive carrier is a self-evident final piece of the safer and more reliable release and collection of containers via the Chain of Trust. The introduction of this new way of working is in full swing in the port of Rotterdam.
