10 Years of APM Terminals Maasvlakte II: A Milestone in Motion

On 24 April 2025, we marked a special milestone: APM Terminals Maasvlakte II has been operational for 10 years. What began as an ambitious project on the edge of the Port of Rotterdam has grown into the most advanced gateway to Europe.

Our terminal was officially opened on 10 April 2015 by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander. Since then, and thanks to the dedication and collaboration of colleagues, partners, and customers, we have made remarkable strides in efficiency, innovation, and sustainability.

And we’re not standing still: the planned expansion will double our terminal’s capacity, enabling us to continue making a difference well into the future.
