Safety at the terminal: our top priority for 10 years!
Ten years ago, at the opening of the terminal, Ans and Ben made a clear video about the safety rules. We are now a decade on and those rules? They still apply. Why? Because safety comes first. Every day. For everyone.
So here are the key points:
- Always wear Your helmet, safety jacket and safety shoes in the operational area
- Wear your seat belt at all times and obey the traffic rules
- Maximum speed: 30 km per hour
- Overtaking is not allowed
- Do not smoke on the terminal and make sure You are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Co-drivers are not allowed due to safety concerns in the operational area
- Stay out of the automatic area
Working safely is something we do together. So check the rules, watch the video again and make sure YOU and your colleagues get home safely. If YOU see a situation that is not safe, stop work!
Watch the video by Ans and Ben: APM Terminals - Driving safety at Maasvlakte II. This video clearly and recognisably shows the safety rules that apply at our terminal and why they are so important.
