Health & Safety

Since commencement of operations in January 2006, APM Terminals Mumbai has established itself as a leader in developing a robust Safety Culture and Best Safety Practices within the industry.

Pioneering this essential culture, we have been able to minimize accidents in the terminal, thus providing a sense of security to both Employees and Stakeholders for smooth operations. Reiterating the terminal’s goal of Zero LTI, CEO, Mr. Pradip Agrawal rightly states, "Our benchmark is ZERO incidents".

APM Terminals Mumbai has an impressive safety record, with the Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) dropping 58.18 % from 2007 figure of 0.55 to 0.23 in 2011 (calculated on one-million man hours).
