Meridian Port Services, Tema

Meridian Port Services (MPS) in Tema is a joint venture between Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority and Meridian Port Holdings Limited (30%), which is, in turn, a joint venture with Africa Global Logistics (35%) and APM Terminals (35%). Tema Port is widely recognized by shipping lines as the best performing container terminal/port in West and Central Africa. The completed Phases 1 & 2 of the Tema Port Expansion Project were commissioned in November 2025, with a 1.4 km quay with four deep berths and state-of-the art equipment to handle cargo ships carrying up to 18,000 TEU.
