Improved offering and triple-digit ro-ro growth at Vado Gateway

For a terminal typically renowned for its reefer expertise, a 284% year-on-year increase in vehicle import volumes in 2023 and a strong start in 2024, the Vado Gateway in norther Italy appears to have hit upon a winning formula for roll-on roll-off customers.

Vado-Verona Porta Nuova rail connection launched

A new rail connection between the container and reefer terminals in Vado Ligure and Verona Porta Nuova inland port has been established. The twice weekly service is managed by Maersk Italia and operated by Logtainer connect.

Weighing

Vado Terminal has a certified and calibrated weighing facility - this will not only save cost and time in obtaining the VGM for your container, but also improves supply chain flow and guarantees compliance with IMO regulations and local legislation

Rail

In addition to the existing four-track rail terminal in the Reefer Terminal, four extra tracks will be added in the Container Terminal, providing rapid access to the Central European market.

Fruit handling

The terminal is equipped with a scanner, and has phytosanitary and veterinary boarder inspection areas. The terminal also has CE 834-2007 organic certification.
