Virtual ease-of-trade event organised by APM Terminals Pipavav

For trade, it is crucial today to be engaged and have a platform for the customers to share their opinions, issues and initiate a dialogue. More than 50 trade partners joined a virtual interactive session this week, organised by APM Terminals. The focus was on easing the Export/Import logistics process to ensure smooth supply chain.

The webinar encouraged interaction with trade partners to help understand recent trends, emerging requirements in the trade and the steps required to keep the supply chain moving smoothly. The trade acknowledged the company's focus on customer service and appreciated the roll out of a customer service portal which will assist in improving service levels further.

The APM Terminals Pipavav team updated trade partners on installed infrastructure such as DFC and Rail Sidings; initiatives such as container security, IT solutions such as track and trace [implemented on www.apmterminals.com], and the service and infrastructural support for the new COSCO and TSW services of CI1 and PIC2 which will increase export / import options from port Pipavav.

The session witnessed a string of ideas/perspectives and some expectations from the customers that would assist them in eliminating bottle necks from their supply chain. We are carefully assessing and addressing the business requirements to facilitate the trade. This is a step towards our commitment to customers to serve them better.
