Reefer Export In- Gate Documentation Requirements
Drivers delivering export refrigerated (reefer) containers to the terminal must present a physical dock receipt at the gate.
The dock receipt must include the following information:
- Booking Number – Must match the steamship line booking for the export container.
- Vessel Departure Information – Vessel name and/or vessel departure ETA.
- Temperature Setting Requirements – The required reefer temperature set point for the cargo.
Important
- Drivers must have the dock receipt in physical form when arriving at the terminal.
- This documentation is required so reefer mechanics in inbound lanes can verify the temperature settings before ingate.
- Drivers may be directed to Inbound Lane 1 or 2 for reefer inspection and hold removal if applicable.
Failure to Provide Documentation/ Reefer Requirements
- Drivers arriving without the required dock receipt or missing required information may be denied ingate until the documentation is provided.
- Reefers will be rejected if the temperature on the unit does not match the booking/ dock receipt - unless advised by the steam ship line to have this changed at the in- gate by us (APMT)
- Export reefers will be rejected if it gates- in without a genset unless advised by the steam ship line
