OTR Parking Enforcement Update – Effective Monday, 5/11
Effective Monday, 5/11, parking enforcement will be strictly applied in the container yard regarding OTR truck positioning.
Any OTR truck found parked perpendicular to container pads in a manner that impedes through traffic will have their move voided.
This enforcement is being implemented due to:
- Increased congestion caused by blocked travel lanes
- Obstructed intersections preventing normal traffic flow
The attached layout highlights (in red) the areas where this type of parking is no longer permitted.
Parking Guidance:
Drivers must ensure they are parked in a way that allows for continuous traffic movement, at all times.
In the event that the container pad where your container is located is congested, drivers are required to park in the container pad immediately prior to that location (as indicated by green arrows in the layout, Pg. 2).
Example: If Pad 706 is congested, park in Pad 806.
Failure to comply will result in the transaction being voided without exception.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping maintain safe and efficient operations within the terminal.
If there are any questions, please reach out to Terminal Operations.
Thank you.
