A Landmark Visit to Suez Canal Container Terminal

Today, we had the honor of welcoming H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister of Egypt, along with a distinguished delegation of senior officials to Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT) in East Port Said.

This high-level visit reflects the government’s strategic support for infrastructure growth and public-private partnerships that strengthen Egypt’s global position in maritime logistics.

We were privileged to host H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt. H.E. Eng. Kamel El Wazir, the transportation minister; the industry and trade minister; the deputy prime minister of Egypt, H.E. Admiral Osama Rabie, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority; and H.E. Mr. Waleed Gamal Eldin, chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE).

The visit focused on the SCCT terminal expansion project, a key investment, to:

  • Increase terminal capacity and improve service efficiency.
  • Strengthen Egypt’s role as a global trade gateway through the Suez Canal.
  • Generate long-term value for the economy and local employment.

As a leading container terminal and a proud partner in Egypt’s economic growth, SCCT remains committed to delivering sustainable, world-class logistics solutions.

Together, we’re not only expanding a terminal-we’re supporting a national vision.
