This year, the company is rewarding six charitable projects, with the support of its employees
APM Terminals Spanish Gateways held the fifth edition of the Social Action Awards this week at the headquarters of the Escola Europea Intermodal Transport in Barcelona. This initiative reinforces the group's commitment to improving life in the communities where it operates. Eighteen social projects sponsored by employees were submitted, of which six from Valencia, Barcelona and Gijón were awarded prizes for their positive impact in areas such as health, inclusion and social welfare.
The award-winning associations include APACI, which provides accommodation for families with congenital heart disease; Aprenem Autisme, which promotes educational inclusion; ETCS, with its project to prevent suicide; AFACU, which innovates in therapies for people with Alzheimer's; Asperger Valencia, which supports young people in their training; and the Valencian Association of Parents of People with Autism, which develops therapeutic activities for adults with significant support needs. In an always moving ceremony, representatives of the groups highlighted in this edition received trophies representing the awards for their work, accompanied by members of the jury, sponsors, and members of management team.
Social Action Awards is an initiative of APM Terminals to channel corporate social responsibility and contribute to the implementation of projects by non-profit organisations with a social impact in the communities where it operates, involving employees in the proposal and selection of projects. With this edition, the company reaffirms its global purpose: improving life for all by integrating the world.
