Royal Arctic Lines’ new vessel, the Tukuma Arctica made its maiden call in Aarhus on June 12, 2020. The vessel arrived from Aalborg and after 4 hours of operation, over 200 moves and a productivity more than 27 moves per hour, the vessel continued its onward journey to Reykjavik, Iceland.

After Reykjavik, the Tukuma Arctica will head towards Nuuk, Greenland. Royal Arctic Line has an exclusive concession for the transportation of all sea cargo to and from Greenland. The Tukuma Arctica is one of three vessels in the co-operation between Eimskip and the national carrier of Greenland, Royal Arctic Line. The vessel is scheduled to call Aarhus again in three weeks.

“We have looked very much forward to welcoming Royal Arctic Line to Aarhus,” says Dennis Olesen, MD APM Terminals Nordic. “It is a big day for us to welcome Royal Arctic Line and Tukuma Arctica which is registered in Aarhus.”

“We look very much forward to cooperating with Royal Arctic Line and Eimskip on this new service.”
