Aqaba Container Terminal Sets New Record within the Same Year with 94,541 TEUs Monthly Throughput, Reinforcing Position as the Preferred Gateway to Jordan and the Levant

Aqaba Container Terminal (ACT) is pleased to announce a new record in less than a year: In September 2025, ACT has recorded its highest-ever monthly quayside throughput of 94,541 TEUs. This milestone surpasses our previous record of 92,348 TEUs set in May 2025, demonstrating terminal readiness for volume growth and reflecting the increasing confidence of local and regional customers and cargo partners.

 In September 2025, ACT efficiently handled 52 vessels and 94,541 TEUs, representing 30% increase compared to the same month of 2024, on the other hand, transit cargo volumes reached a record 7,521 TEUs constituting 16% of total import containers, while it represented 6% only of the same month last year, affirming the positive path and expanding market confidence in our services.

At the same time, ACT handled a record transaction of 36,145 trucks compared to 27,703 in the same month of the previous year, and representing a daily average of 1205 truck transactions, 919 of them are import. Our gate-in operations achieved an average truck turnaround time of 33 minutes, meeting the highest international benchmarks for port efficiency, targeting at reducing the truckers waiting time inside the terminal and overcoming any expected delays.
