Introduction of Trucking Dashboard

Based on valuable feedback received from Customer Satisfaction Surveys, APM Terminals Bahrain (APMT) is pleased to introduce a web-based feature that enables Transporter’s Community, to access following services for trucks registered with APMT:

• Apply for Registration of their trucks.
• Confirm their vehicle details as registered in APMT’s system.
• Apply for Verified Gross Mass (VGM) Cards.
• Check VGM for Export Full Containers gated-in.
• Monitor cycle time at KBSP for their truck.

This dashboard which is available on APMT’s website at https://asr.bahrain.apmterminals.com, aims to provide more visibility and transparency for our landside customers and Trucking Partners.

Preview of the Dashboard was presented on 23rd August 2021, through a webinar to the relevant section of stakeholders in the presence of the Ports and Maritime Affairs (PMA). This was followed by a Q&A session, where additional recommendations were suggested, which are now being planned for incorporation. All trucking companies registered with APMT, shall receive a unique user id/password to access the Trucking Dashboard, which will be available for use effective Thursday 26th August 2021.

Other E-Service enhancements

We would like to update our customers of the various e-services and enhancements that have been implemented, underscoring the importance of customer feedback in our improvement journey. These include but are not limited to:

On APM Terminals Bahrain Website

• Live gate camera
• Realtime and historic truck turn times
• Track & Trace functionality and live Vessel Schedule
• 10 days visibility of the availability of appointment slots.

Service Improvements

• Additional appointment slots for gate-out delivery on weekdays.
• Additional appointments for Reefer de-stuffing at the KBSP CFS.
• Extended timings for LCL cargo delivery at Shed # 3.
• Increase in the number of import gate-out delivery appointment slots.
• Fast lane at truck parking area for export Full reefer containers

E tools to improve Customer Service

• Implementation of Salesforce – Issue Resolution.
• Off-line Payment Services (Fawateer)
• On-line Port Pass system
• Lift Upgrade and resolution, resulting in significantly increased usage

We would like to take this opportunity to convey a safety message for all KBSP port users. APMT seeks the co-operation of all port users in abiding by traffic rules while inside port limits, on the roads leading to/from KBSP and in general. Always drive at safe speeds on the roads leading to/from KBSP. Avoid mobiles and always have situational awareness while driving.
