Progress of the stabilization phase at the Port of Balboa

APM Terminals Panama reports that the stabilization process of operations at the Port of Balboa (Pacific) is progressing according to the defined work plan. This initial stage is essential to ensure the operational continuity of the terminal and to guarantee that port activities proceed with the least possible impact on users and the logistics chain.
Key progress to date:

Staff training:
At this time, more than 90% of employees have been trained on new systems.
Staff continue to make satisfactory progress in the training process for the new operating system, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition in data and cargo management. - Labor transfer:
As of the end of today, the employer substitution process has been completed for 75% of employees. - Vessel testing:
Progress continues in vessel testing.
Tests have been carried out for container discharge with more than 300 moves. - Receiving containers:
Reception of export and empty containers through the gate continues during its regular operating hours. - Rail connection:
As of yesterday afternoon, the scheduled rail tests within the stabilization process began.
By the end of today, three trains have been dispatched. - Roll‑on/roll‑off cargo:
Activities related to releasing vehicles to their owners have resumed. - Protection of perishable cargo:
All refrigerated containers with perishable goods remain plugged in, powered and under constant monitoring. - Customer communication:
Communication with our customers remains a priority.
