TOGETHER: SHELTERSUIT FOUNDATION, MAERSK, APM TERMINALS AND NGOs WE SHELTER VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES IN ARGENTINA AND OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD
It is a milestone in terms of #SocialResponsibility and #LOGISTICS, working in collaboration between multiple social organizations and uniting 3 continents with the mission of caring for homeless people and improving their quality of life.
Thanks to an unprecedented logistics operation, we managed to implement an international solidarity campaign at the local level together with Maersk and the Sheltersuit Foundation that gives us great pride and satisfaction, since it allows us to provide "shelter suits" (specially designed sleeping bags) to shelter people in a situation of housing vulnerability.
This collaboration was made possible in Argentina thanks to the logistics of Maersk and APM Terminals and the contribution of the local NGO Mamis Solidarias to channel deliveries at the local level so that the suits reach where they really need it. We have already made a first donation and we will continue collaborating.
The "refuge suits" were created by the Dutch designer, Timmer in 2014 with the purpose of rethinking the function of clothing in the context of a society with housing problems. They are prepared to face climatic situations and are made from sleeping bags, quilts and tent fabrics.
This campaign adds to all the efforts in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility that we have been developing in the terminal. We thank all the people who participated and let's continue on this path, because we truly believe that solidarity is done by all of us!
