APM Terminals now located in Gävle

APM Terminals improves the inland connection by rail during the month of May. In May, we will take the next step to contribute to Sweden's growth, with the first train departure of Green Cargo from APM Terminal's own managed inland terminal in Gävle towards Gothenburg. This as part of our investment and development strategy for the land side.

APM Terminals is very pleased to expand our reach to our customers in form of flexible and efficient service.

Our inland terminal in Gävle is located in the center of the city and will make it easier for customers to transport goods with the railway to Gothenburg. The terminal has an area of 20,000 square meters, three employees and has an expected volume of about 200 containers per week. From here, we plan to offer five departures per week.

- Through The Gothenburg Gateway we can reduce lead time by at least one week. It is an efficient and climate-smart solution. APM Terminals has worked hard to increase efficiency and increase digitization to enable faster handling of the goods. Now, the rail network in Sweden must be streamlined, and this is now possible via APM Terminals Gävle, says Morten Brühl, CCO at APM Terminals Gothenburg.
