Our Terminal

sfct-logoThe South Florida Container Terminal (SFCT) is located in the Port of Miami, USA. Its close proximity to the Caribbean and the Americas provides a strategic point of entry and departure for cargo moving to key global markets. The terminal provides full stevedoring and terminal services.

As part of an ongoing densification and terminal redevelopment project the 71-acre site signed an agreement for the delivery of six Kalmar Zero Emission Rubber-tired Gantry cranes (RTGs) in 2019. SFCT will be the first container terminal in the United States with 100% zero-emission RTG cranes. These are also the first RTG cranes that will be installed in the Port of Miami.

The cranes will be equipped with a busbar energy system and operator assist features like auto steering and container stack profiling.

South Florida Container Terminal is a joint venture between Terminal Link Miami, as subsidiary of CMA-CGM (51%) and APM Terminals (49%). The agreement is renewable for two five-year periods. The agreement authorises SFCT to operate as a common user terminal offering services to all shipping lines.
