APM Terminals Moín receives the Ecological Blue Flag award for climate change

We are pleased to announce that APM Terminals Moín has, for the third consecutive year, been awarded the prestigious Ecological Blue Flag Award in the climate change category. This recognition is a testament to APM Terminals' continued efforts and dedication to mitigate the effects of climate change and promote sustainable practices.

This year's award corresponds to initiatives and actions implemented during the year 2023. In addition, we are proud to share that, for the first time, the we were also awarded the Orange Star, a recognition that highlights APM Terminals Moín's commitment to animal welfare.

Award for voluntary efforts

The Ecological Blue Flag is a program that rewards the efforts and volunteer work of various organizations to improve the hygienic and environmental conditions, thus contributing to the mitigation of climate change. This award is granted by the National Commission of the Ecological Blue Flag Program, which rigorously evaluates the actions and results of participating organizations.

The first award received by APM Terminals Moín was for the year 2021, in which the various initiatives implemented by the terminal were recognized. These actions include reforestation preservation programs, sea turtle habitat conservation, the use of renewable energies to reduce our carbon footprint and promoting the conservation of local biodiversity.
