Going Green @ APM Terminals India

APM Terminals India celebrated “Go Green and World Environment Day” with great fanfare this week. The theme of the year is “Sustainable Resource Use and Improving Ocean Health”.

To engage with our employees and stake holders; we scheduled various activities like display of poster at the port/terminal, conducting awareness sessions during toolbox talk, taking pledge on the environment, poster drawing competition on the theme of “Improving Ocean Health”,  making the “Best out of Waste”, conducted mock drill on chemical spillage, organized online & offline quiz for employees, organized a PUC camp in collaboration with IOCL and carried out mass plantation by employees and their families.

We also organized a beach cleaning program in which around 90 employees participated and collected ~ 275 kgs of plastic waste. We received tremendous response from the employees and their families who participated wholeheartedly in all the activities and made the whole celebration a grand success.
