APM Terminals Poti Celebrates Global Safety Day
APM Terminals Poti kicked off Safety Week with the message: “We start with safety!”
The week began with a meeting involving employees, during which company management discussed ways to improve the safety culture and highlighted current achievements.
Special attention was given to truck drivers. Representatives from the Safety Department reminded them of the port’s traffic rules, distributed reflective vests and lights, and wished them safe journeys.
To further strengthen the safety culture, company staff held a working meeting with contractors and clients. The discussion focused on ongoing operations at the port, the importance of continuous communication, and enhancing safety standards through collaborative efforts.
As part of Global Safety Day, APM Terminals Poti provided safety equipment to public schools in Poti and conducted practical fire safety training for students.
“Safety is not just a goal; it is an approach and a daily choice. On Global Safety Day, I want to thank each of you—our 800-strong team—for your unwavering commitment to safety. Together, we have reached a remarkable milestone: 2,029 days without any serious health incidents. This achievement reflects our shared caution, discipline, and care for one another,” said Christian Roeder, Managing Director of APM Terminals Poti.
