Meeting with the Maritime Transport Agency
An introductory meeting was held between the Managing Director of APM Terminals Poti, Christian Roeder, and the Head of the Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia, Ivane Abashidze. Together with their team members, they discussed current issues and emphasized the importance of bilateral cooperation, which is essential for the development of safe, efficient, and sustainable port operations.
The meeting specifically focused on implementing modern systems and digitizing existing services, which will significantly enhance the port’s capacity and operational efficiency while complying with international standards.
The discussion also addressed the implementation of joint projects and the enhancement of cooperation in maritime education. These initiatives will support the professional development of personnel and further strengthen the operational safety of the port.
