SCCT strengthens CSR commitment with strategic partnership with Baheya Foundation

Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT) has reaffirmed its commitment to meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) through a strategic collaboration with Baheya Foundation, one of Egypt's leading institutions for the early detection and treatment of breast cancer.

As part of this partnership, SCCT will donate four ICU ventilators. These compact, state-of-the-art devices are designed for critical care, offering multiple ventilation modes, precise monitoring and user-friendly operation. The donation will significantly enhance the hospital's capacity to provide free, early detection and treatment services to thousands of women each year.

Dr. Jaylan Ahmed, CEO of the Baheya Foundation, and Keld Christensen, CEO of SCCT, affirm the strategic collaboration.

Keld Christensen, CEO of SCCT, emphasized the broader vision and purpose behind this initiative:
“At SCCT, true success is not measured solely by operational excellence or scale, but by the positive and sustainable change we make in the lives of the communities we serve. As we expand our operations, we place serving community on the top core of our strategy. We firmly believe that the real value of any global organization lies in the positive legacy it leaves behind and its contribution to building a better future for society. Through this partnership with Baheya, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting healthcare and raising awareness about the critical importance of early breast cancer detection, a vital step in saving lives and empowering women to face challenges with confidence and hope. This collaboration is not just a donation—it is part of a long-term commitment to improving quality of life and creating meaningful, lasting impact for generations to come.”

Mohamed Khattab, Head PR & Government Affairs at SCCT, added:
“This initiative is part of SCCT’s broader CSR agenda aimed at driving sustainable community development. We chose Baheya Foundation as our partner due to its outstanding reputation and proven track record in serving society. Since its establishment and up to May 2025, Baheya has successfully supported over 130,000 women and delivered more than 5 million medical services, making it one of Egypt’s most impactful healthcare institutions. Together, we aim to amplify this positive impact and help save even more lives.”
