In support of APM Terminals industry-leading global ambition to be net zero by 2040, all equipment and vehicles will be electric. Support infrastructure will be based on best-practice within APM Terminals. The quay will be equipped with infrastructure for power installations such as Shore Power.
The terminal will employ the latest in digital and automated technology, including Optical Character Recognition and Equipment Sensors to support real-time data sharing, and increased efficiency. The gate will be fully automated and combined with a Truck Appointment System for the fastest truck turn times.
