Gate Procedures

Delivering a Load

  1. Driver arrives at NTB Service Desk.
  2. NTB employee inputs all data including Booking Nr., Vessel and Destination port, after which driver receives a Barcode receipt for in-gate delivery
  3. Driver goes through the Checking point where container is checked also for damage. An interchange form is then printed out by the Checker.
  4. Driver then proceeds to the designated empty stack, inserts his card plus lane Nr. into the Barcode reader and parks in the container lane which has been entered.
  5. The truck driver has to stay outside his truck in marked circle on the ground.
  6. Van-carrier removes container from chassis and places same into specific points in yard
  7. Driver leaves the terminal or makes his second move.

Delivering an Empty

  1. Driver arrives at NTB Service Desk.
  2. NTB employee inputs all data including Acceptance Nr., (Optional; Vessel and Destination port,) after which driver receives a Barcode receipt for in-gate delivery
  3. Driver goes through the Checking point where container is checked also for damage. An interchange form is then printed out by the Checker.
  4. Driver then proceeds to the designated empty stack, inserts his card plus lane Nr. into the Barcode reader and parks in the container lane which has been entered.
  5. The truck driver has to stay outside his truck in marked circle on the ground.
  6. Empty handler removes container from chassis and places same into specific points in empty stack.
  7. Driver leaves the terminal or makes his second move.

Picking Up a Load

  1. Driver arrives at NTB Service Desk.
  2. NTB employee inputs all data drivers date and release Nr., and inland delivery point, after which driver receives a Barcode collection of the container.
  3. Driver goes through the Checking point and proceeds to the indicated truck interchange area and has the Barcode read and enters his specific interchange block where he wants to park.
  4. The truck driver has to stay outside his truck in marked circle on the ground.
  5. Driver then received the loaded container from the Van-carrier.
  6. Driver moves to the Gate-Out and an interchange form is prepared.
  7. Driver leaves the terminal and delivers the load at destination.

Picking Up an Empty

  1. Driver arrives at NTB Service Desk.
  2. NTB employee inputs all data drivers date and release Nr., and booking number, after which driver receives a Barcode collection of the container.
  3. Driver then proceeds to the designated empty stack, inserts his card plus lane Nr. into the Barcode reader and parks in the container lane which has been entered.
  4. The truck driver has to stay outside his truck in marked circle on the ground.
  5. Driver moves to the Gate-Out and an interchange form is prepared.
  6. Driver leaves the terminal and delivers the empty to destination for loading.
