Smoother truck flow with new signal system

Thanks to valuable feedback from trucking companies, APM Terminals Gothenburg has now implemented a new traffic light system to make it easier to see which service lanes are available at Gate 4.

"We continuously gather feedback from our customers to further improve the experience at our terminal. Several trucking companies pointed out that it could be difficult to see which lanes were open for service at Gate 4. As a result, queues sometimes formed even when lanes were available," says Emma Klofsten Tendell, Customer Care Manager at APM Terminals Gothenburg.

The solution is now in place: a clear traffic light at each service lane, showing green when the lane is available and red when it is occupied. A simple solution — but one that makes a meaningful difference.

"The new traffic light system reduces uncertainty and waiting times. We have already received very positive feedback from transport companies," says Emma Klofsten Tendell.
