Customer Advisory: Vessel Draft Optimization for Improved Productivity
Dear valued Customers,
Greetings from APM Terminals Pipavav!
We sincerely appreciate the continued trust and partnership we share with our esteemed stakeholders. As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and vessel turnaround times, APM Terminals Pipavav continuously analyses performance data and reviews port processes.
Based on a comprehensive review of historical performance, we have observed that vessels calling at our port with a draft of 12.0 meters or more (within the parameters defined in the Safe Memo) consistently achieve higher STS crane productivity compared to vessels with a draft below 12.0 meters.
To help us collectively optimize operations and reduce vessel turnaround time, we kindly request our shipping line partners to consider maintaining a draft of 12.0 meters or more (as per Safe Memo guidelines) for vessels calling at Pipavav Port. This proactive measure will significantly contribute to increased berth productivity enabling faster turn around of your vessel.
We count on your cooperation and support in this initiative, which is aligned with our shared goals of performance improvement and customer-centric service delivery.
