Global Safety Day 2025 at APM Terminals Moín - “We Begin with Safety”

On October 9th, APM Terminals Moín celebrated Global Safety Day 2025 under the theme: “We Begin with Safety.” This annual event is a valuable opportunity to reinforce our commitment to safety, share meaningful lessons, and continue building a culture where safety is always the starting point.

Highlights of the Day

• “My Why” Safety Gallery
  Each team leader appointed a member to coordinate the creation of the “My Why” wall. This gallery featured personal cards where employees shared what safety means to them and why returning home safe and sound every day is essential.
• PPE Partners Engagement
  We invited our Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) suppliers—key allies in ensuring proper equipment use—to join our employees, contractors, and visitors in the celebration. Through games, activities, and awareness sessions, we emphasized the importance of proper PPE usage, self-care, and risk prevention.
• Gemba Leadership
  Critical Control in Vessel Lashing Operations Leaders conducted Gemba walks during vessel lashing tasks to engage with stevedores, identify and assess potential risks, and promote best practices. This initiative strengthens operational safety and ensures everyone returns home safely.

Safety Message – GSD 25: “The Voice Waiting for Us at Home”

As part of our awareness campaign, we invited employees to participate in a heartfelt activity centered on what matters most: returning home safely each day. To reinforce proper PPE use, team members recorded safety messages using the voices of their children. These touching messages reminded us why it’s worth taking care every workday.

These voices were featured in the GSD 25 video, serving as a special message that inspires us to continue building a safety culture with awareness, commitment, and heart.
