APM Terminals MedPort Tangier is strongly committed to the environment protection and sustainable development and this is reflected in its ambition to build a green port.

The terminal uses some of the most efficient equipment available and green energy whenever this is possible.

Eco-credentials

• All equipment will be electrified (except shuttle carries).
• STS & A-RMG use an optimized lighting setup to reduce electricity consumption. 
• Hybrid SC with environmentally friendly tier 4 engine (Ad blue fuel). 
• A-RMGs use a new light aerodynamic design. 
• STS have power feedback to reduce energy consumption.
• The operating model, uses advanced technologies and uses standardised operating process to reduce energy consumption.
